Russia to mediate establishment of Armenia-Azerbaijan humanitarian ties

PanARMENIAN.Net - Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan have requested Russia to mediate establishing of humanitarian ties between the two countries, Russian Foreign Minister said.

“Russia stands ready to serve as mediator for the purpose,” RIA Novosti quoted Sergei Lavrov as saying.

Dwelling on the outcomes of the trilateral presidential meeting in Sochi, Minister Lavrov noted that “the three leaders stressed the need to establish direct humanitarian, cultural and educational relations to restore and promote trust between Armenia and Azerbaijan and create favorable atmosphere for adoption of political decisions.”
