Armenian Development Agency attracted some $14 mln in 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - All initiatives of Armenian Development Agency (ADA) in 2010 recorded progress in 2011, ADA Director General said.

“Given ADA’s efforts, the volume of direct foreign investments in 2011 amounted to $13-14 mln. against $4,5 mln. in 2010,” Robert Harutyunyan told a press conference in Yerevan on Jan 24.

“Exports volumes also increased to $ 8-9 mln. in 2011 against $2 mln. in 2010,” he said.

Among 2011 priorities, the ADA director pointed out agriculture, tourism, high technologies, energy and construction and noted that in the line of export ADA focused on light industry, particularly textile.

Collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and other partners involved in implementation of the export-oriented strategic program of industrial development adopted by the government is also among pivotal tasks of the agency.
