Defense Minister says Armenian army rarely responds to Azeri shots

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan says Armenian armed forces resort to retaliatory measures over ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan in one out of ten cases.

“My order is to open fire only if Azerbaijani snipers’ shots kill Armenian servicemen. This is a punitive and preventive measure,” Minister said.

Ohanyan added that in 2012 he will order to do the utmost for ensuring security at contact line, providing proper response to any provocative act.
