Defense Minister deems security priority in Armenian army

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan says armed forces attach great importance to introduction of international standards, as well as constructive criticism by international and Armenian non-governmental organizations.

“Army serves political or other goals in the light of human rights protection,” Minister said, adding that Armenian citizens, involved in these international organizations, should acknowledge the meaning of army for security purposes.

Seyran Ohanyan further stressed the importance of cooperation with NGOs and strengthening of army-society relations.
