WORLD ARMENIAN ORGANIZATION FOUNDATION TO BE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED EARLY OCTOBER

PanARMENIAN.Net - The constituent conference of the World Armenian Organization (WAO) with the participation of 150 delegates from 57 states including Nagorno Karabakh Republic will be held October 6-7 in Moscow. As chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia, WAO committee head Ara Abrahamian stated in Yerevan today, the newly founded organization will advocate interests of Armenians all over the world. In his words, the WAO will especially get involved in the process of the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 in Ottoman Turkey. A. Abrahamian noted that while preparing for the WAO constituent conference he met with Armenian, French, Argentinean and Lebanese presidents as well as was given a benediction by the leaders of the Armenian Apostolic Church and Rome Catholic Church. In his words, French president Jacques Chirac expressed his willingness to provide a building for the WAO representative office in France.
