Writer’s Guild of America Awards due Feb 19

PanARMENIAN.Net - The 64th Annual Writer’s Guild of America Awards will take place this weekend, simultaneously from the east and west coast, according to The Celebrity Café.

On February 19, the glitz and glam of Hollywood and New York City will once again step out for the next big awards show before the Academy Awards.

Nominees will be honored in five different categories including television and news, radio, screen, new media and video games, promotional writing, and graphic animation.

The east coast celebration will be hosted by Rachel Dratch at B.B. King Blues Club.

The Writer’s Guild of America East reports Jonathan Ames, Jon Benjamin, Jimmy Fallon, Geoffrey Fletcher, Seth Meyers, Kristen Wiig, Terence Winter, among others, as presenters with special honorees including Judd Apatow, Claire Labine and Susan Kim.

The west coast extravaganza will be hosted by Zooey Deschanel and Joel McHale from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Calif.

Presenters for the Writer’s Guild of America West, as stated on their website, include Amy Poehler, Michael Schur, Bryan Cranston, Vince Gilligan, Kat Dennings, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Weiner, just to name a few.

Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer have the honor of presenting the Paul Selvin Award to The Help’s screenwriter-director Tate Taylor.
