Expert: Armenia imposes peace on AzerbaijanFebruary 23, 2012 - 14:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Military expert David Jamalyan says the maneuvers conducted by Azerbaijani armed forces are not out of line. “Such exercises are held on a daily basis around the world. Hopefully, Armenian armed forces will consider these circumstances when holding their own maneuvers,” Mr. Jamalyan said. “There is no need to succumb to panic. There are a number of factors that keep Baku back from launching an offensive. We dynamically establish military footholds in Artsakh. We have managed to acquire strategically important positions that reduce the possibility of Azeri attack,” the expert said, adding that with these steps Armenia “imposes peace on Azerbaijan.” Jamalyan further stressed the need for Armenia never to forget about the existence of a dangerous enemy when making changes in state institutions.
