Hackers attack Russian largest domain name registrarMarch 3, 2012 - 11:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Hackers have attacked DNS-servers of Russian domain name registrar RU-CENTER, said Andrei Vorobiev, RU-CENTER Public Relations Director. Strong DDoS-attacks against the company were registered during the week. RU-CENTER has already addressed the law enforcement bodies and cooperates with its partners to ensure protection from attacks. DNS-servers of the company serve about half a million of customers and are secured against DDoS-attacks, so possibility of their wreck seems “purely hypothetical”, Vorobiev said, RIA Novosti reported. RU-CENTER is the first and largest domain name registrar and one of the leading web hosting providers in Russia, with more than 3 million domain names placed in RU-CENTER.
