ICG deems Karabakh conflict status-quo maintenance “inadmissible”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Maintaining Nagorno Karabakh conflict status-quo is an inadmissible option, the article by Caucasus Project Director of the International Crisis Group published in The International Herald Tribune reads.

“Reaching compromises is possible only through increasing international pressure,” Lawrence Sheets writes.

He calls on world leaders to think that the threat and refugee flows, electricity supply failure, death and destruction may bring about resumption of war.

“Despite the “ceasefire regime” shooting on the front line annually causes a number of deaths and injuries,” Sheets concluded.
