BDO has great plans for Armenian market

PanARMENIAN.Net - BDO (Binder Dijker Otte & Co), the fifth largest audit firm worldwide, launches a new local member firm. The company bought Ameria Audit CJSC, an Armenian audit firm.

This is the first investment of BDO in Armenia but it has ambitious plans to grow up local business by further acquisitions, Alexander Verenkov, BDO partner for international relations told a press conference in Yerevan on March 20.

Ameria Audit managed to attract one of the international top five, which will operate in Armenia under a new BDO Armenia brand.

Verenkov said the company follows the principle of open partnership. “Therefore, we will welcome all local companies willing to cooperate and join us. We will always find a reasonable solution,” he pointed out.

Commenting upon the BDO Armenia’s strategy, company’s director Arthur Alexanyan said the international audit company will further seek opportunities to purchase another local audit firm.

“Of course, it will depend on the company’s scale of operation and indicators for development on the local market,” he added.

BDO is the world’s fifth largest audit and accounting network, with 48,800 employees in 1,118 offices in 135 countries.

The combined fee income of all the BDO Member Firms, including the members of their exclusive alliances, was $5.67 billion in 2011.

The services offered by BDO Armenia cover audit and related services, professional expertise, comprehensive tax services, accounting, business and property valuation, IT consulting, etc.
