GEORGIAN EXPERTS WILL HELP TO DISCOVER CAUSES OF CRASH AT YEREVAN ROPE-WAYApril 10, 2004 - 19:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Due to absence of specialists for technical maintenance of rope-ways in Armenia at present, the Yerevan Administration has decided to invite experts from Georgia to assist the commission for investigation of the causes of the crash, taken place at the city rope-way April 2. It should be noted that the rope-way was projected and installed just by Georgian specialists in late 60s. As reported by the press service of Yerevan Administration, in the course of exploitation of the rope-way all repair and inspection works were held by Yerevan Rope-Way Public Corporation, which holds the entire package of the enterprise shares. The technical state of the rope-way was periodically checked by inspectors of Armenian Mountain Technical Control. The recurrent checkup was held in August 2003.
