ILHAM ALIYEV CALLED BETRAYERS EDITORS OF NATIONAL ENCYCLOPEDIA NEW VOLUME FOR ARTICLES ABOUT "ENEMY ARMENIANS"

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azeri President Ilham Aliyev severely criticized the editors of the national encyclopedia due to their placing an article on "the enemies" in the recurrent volume prepared to publication. The matter concerns articles, referring to famous Armenians, specifically, artist Martiros Sarian, that referring Armenian epic poem David of Sasun, even about Stepanakert city, which "does not exist," in Aliyev's words. At the same time I. Aliyev was outraged that the years 1970-1980 were called "stagnant" in the encyclopedia. At the time Heydar Aliyev was First Secretary of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan and "those were years of prosperity for Azerbaijan," Aliyev Jr. said, considering the action of the editors of the encyclopedia as betrayal.
