ARMENIA REFUSED AZERBAIJAN'S PROPOSAL ON EXCHANGE OF TERRITORIES TO RESTORE TRANSPORT COMMUNICATION

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia does not accept Azerbaijan's proposal on the exchange of 7 Azeri regions for restoration of transport communication. Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian said this in Strasbourg May13 after the talks with his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mamedyarov on the ways of settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Trend news agency reports. In Oskanian's words, no concrete proposals were discussed during the talks. The sides just exchanged opinions on the proposals put forward by each side. Both Ministers stated that the consultations took place on the base of mutual understanding. It should be noted that on the morning of May 13 the Ministers met in "tête-à-tête" format. In the afternoon another meeting with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group cochairmen took place.
