ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY: EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO BE USED TO RELEASE ARMENIAN PILOTS ARRESTED IN EQUATORIAL GUINEA

PanARMENIAN.Net - All opportunities should be used to release Armenian pilots arrested in Equatorial Guinea, Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian stated at a press conference. In his words, it is necessary to coordinate the efforts to avoid the opposite effect. Answering the question why in the course of his visit to Guinea V. Oskanian did not meet with the President, the head of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia noted that in spite of the desire of the Armenian party a program of the visit was received before the departure to Malabo, which did not include a meeting with the Equato-Guinean President. V. Oskanian said he was satisfied with the rest of the meetings with country officials. In his words, in the course of the visit contacts at a rather high level were established and these will further promote release of Armenian pilots and their sending to Armenia. "At least I have the opportunity to call and talk to my counterpart," V. Oskanian noted, adding that he considers his visit successful in the respect that the Armenian party proposed to form a legal framework for extradition of the prisoners. "The Guinean authorities intend to seriously discuss that proposal," V. Oskanian noted.
