KALMUCKIA PRESIDENT TO VISIT ARMENIAMarch 15, 2005 - 07:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A meeting of Chairman of the People's Khural (Parliament) of the Republic of Kalmuckia Vyacheslav Bembetov with the General Consul of the Republic of Armenia in the Southern Federal District Ararat Gomtsian and representative of the Association of the Russian-Armenian Business Cooperation in the region of Rostov Leonid Gogorian, the Yerkramas newspaper of the Armenians of Russia reported. In the course of the meeting issues of strengthening the traditional friendly relations between Kalmuckia and Armenia, expansion of the economic contacts were discussed, plans of cooperation between the two Parliaments are outlined. On behalf of Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Artur Baghdasarian, Ararat Gomtsian invited Kalmuckia President Kirsan Ilumzhinov and Chairman of the People's Khural of Kalmuckia Vyacheslav Bembetov to pay an official visit to Armenia. The invitation was accepted with gratitude, the terms of the visit will be discussed later.
