ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT RATIFIED AGREEMENT ON DEFENSE COOPERATION BETWEEN ARMENIA AND POLANDMarch 21, 2005 - 09:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the Armenian parliament has ratified the Armenian-Polish agreement on cooperation in the defense field, Arminfo news agency reports. As Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsian stated earlier, the agreement provides for establishment of common clauses in the cooperation in the defense field on the basis of partnership. It outlines the directions of cooperation, the order of financing and major tasks. Specifically it provides for cooperation in formation of armed forces, rear securing, contribution to international peacekeeping missions, military medicine, modernization of defense technology, etc. Within the frames of the agreement the parties are to sign separate agreements, protocols and annual programs.
