RUSSIAN TRANSPORT MINISTER TO DISCUSS RESUMPTION OF RAIL COMMUNICATION VIA ABKHAZ LOT WITH KRASNODAR SPECIALISTS

PanARMENIAN.Net - At a meeting with Chairman of the Parliament of Armenia Artur Baghdasarian Russian Minister of Transport, Co-Chair of the Armenia-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission Igor Levitin appreciated the activities of the Armenian-Russian Inter-Governmental Commission, the Press Service of the National Assembly of Armenia reported. In his words, works to launch the 5-th block of the Hrazdan heat power plant, Mars factory and to implement the Property in Exchange for Debt agreement are held today. In his turn, Mr. Baghdasarian discussed with the Minister issues of further work of Kavkaz-Poti ferry-train passage, which is of high importance to Armenia. The parties also discussed the need to open the Abkhaz lot of the railway. As noted by Mr. Levitin, he will discuss the aforementioned issues at the meeting with corresponding specialists in Krasnodar April 15. In his words, the most important thing is that the juridical side of the issues of resumption of communication via the Abkhazian lot and Kavkaz-Poti ferry-train passage is already secured, technical issues are left to be adjusted. Agreement was reached in the course of the meeting to organize discussions over the resumption of the communication via the Abkhaz lot of the railway with the participation fo the parliaments of all states interested.
