The meeting focused on regional and international issues, as well as Eastern Partnership summit slated for November 13, 2013 in Vilnius. The Armenian official further briefed his counterparts on recent developments in Karabakh conflict settlement. As Mr. Nalbandian stated after the meeting, Armenia hails partnership with Poland, Sweden and Bulgaria in bilateral, as well as Eastern Partnership format. “With Association Agreement talks to be soon finalized, an agreement is expected to be inked, to open vaster possibilities to Armenian citizens,” he said. As Mr. Sikorski, in turn, noted, the Foreign Ministers’ visit signals their readiness to assist Armenia on the way to EU accession. According to the Minister, Armenia and EU will sign a visa facilitation agreement on Monday, December 17 in Brussels. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
