OSKANIAN: NOTHING THREATENS ARMENIAN-RUSSIAN RELATIONS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The small conflict in Russia with participation of Armenians cannot influence the Armenian-Russian relations, Armenian FM Vartan Oskanian stated at a news conference. When answering a question whether official Yerevan should respond to the growing negative attitude towards Armenians in Russia that is based on faked facts, V. Oskanian remarked that the number of these cases is small and one should not consider them a mass phenomenon. In the Minister's words, the relations between Armenia and Russia are at the highest level and Armenians rather prosper in Russia. «The solution of conflicts of the kind is a work done offstage. The Armenian Embassy in Russia deals with it and one should not speak of it publicly,» the Minister said, adding, «the situation is not one to speak by means of diplomatic notes.»
