Armenia Ready to Provide Everything Necessary for Successful Military Exercises

PanARMENIAN.Net - NATORescuer 2006 exercises sponsored by the US European Command are aimed at enhancing the professional level of the military in extreme situations. These fit regional security interests, Armenian Minister of Defense, Secretary of the Security Council at the President of Armenia Serge Sargsyan stated at the opening of the exercises in Yerevan. He was content with the preliminary stage of arranging for the exercises. «The US European Command and the Armenian Ministry of Defense managed to meet all demands on organizing those exercises,» he said. Sargsyan hoped that the exercises will be successful and July 24 the troops will show everything they learned within that period.



At that he noted that Armenia is always open to cooperation and is ready to provide everything necessary for successful organization of the exercises. «The participants of the exercises will be able to get acquainted with Armenia, its culture and history,» Sargsyan said. Current exercise is the second one held in Armenia by the NATO and US European Command, Sargsyan reminded.
