Aliyev's statements on Karabakh meant for public opinion in Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - "I do not agree with the opinion that the Armenian diplomacy is losing on the international arena during the recent 9 years," RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian told a news conference in IA Regnum's press center today. A breakthrough in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement seemed possible in 1998. In all the documents issued on the Nagorno Karabakh since 1998 the wording "Azerbaijan's territorial integrity" has been changed into "the right of people of Karabakh to self-determination." In 1996 it was a mere dream," Oskanian said. He also noted that more and more states come to recognize the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.

"As to Ilham Aliyev's statements on resolution of the Karabakh problem in favor of Azerbaijan, they are meant for the public opinion in Azerbaijan," the Minister said.
