  RA Defense Minister to be appointed April 24April 13, 2007 - 15:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The RA Defense Minister will be appointed April 24, Armenian Prime Minister and Acting Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Serge Sargsyan told reporters today. He also said he doesn't plan active participation in the PRA election campaign. The Prime Minister intends to get familiarized with the problems of the population and visit regions. "It's a new field for me. I must transform from Defense Minister into Prime Minister. I know our republic well but from the other standpoint," he said, IA Regnum reports. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
