RA MFA: time for Armenia's recognition of NKR independence hasn't come yet

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Foreign Ministry thinks that recognition of Nagorno Karabakh would be premature at the moment. When commenting on the initiative of Heritage opposition party to recognize independence of Artsakh, RA MFA Spokesman Vladimir Karapetian said recognition of NKR independence remains on the agenda of Armenia's foreign policy. "Recognition of independence should come as the most efficient step that will promote the final settlement of the conflict. This moment has not come yet," he said, IA Regnum reports.



August 28 Raffi K. Hovannisian, Armenia's ex-Foreign Minister and the leader of Heritage parliamentary faction, introduced into the Armenian National Assembly a draft bill "On recognition of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic."
