Formation of two independent Armenian states is the only way to achieve all-Armenian goals

PanARMENIAN.Net - The right of a nation to self-determination is the only possibility for legal definition of Nagorno Karabakh's status, RA National Assembly Speaker Tigran Torosian told a news conference September 10 when commenting on ARF Dashnaktsutyun member Hrayr Karapetian's statement that "if the OSCE Minsk Group exhausts its potential we will urge joining of Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia."

"I undoubtedly respect the opinion of all parliamentary factions, however, I do not share the ARFD's viewpoint," he said.

The Speaker reminded that one of the PACE resolutions says that Nagorno Karabakh can secede from Azerbaijan through a referendum. However its joining Armenia would be viewed as aggression of one CoE member state against another.

Formation of two independent Armenian states is the only way to achieve all-Armenian goals, Tigran Torosian resumed, IA Regnum reports.
