FIRST RUSSIAN PRESIDENT ARRIVED IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today first Russian President Boris Yeltsin and his spouse arrived in Yerevan on a private visit on the invitation of the Armenian President. "I love Armenia and accepted Robert Kocharian's suggestion with great pleasure," - Boris Yeltsin told journalists in Yerevan airport. A solid program for the visit is composed and a meeting with the Armenian President, which will be useful for me and maybe for him, is planned, the ex-President of the Russian Federation stated. "Long history ties Russia and Armenia together. We should value it and try to further develop cooperation," - he emphasized. Boris Yeltsin's visit to Armenia will last till October 18. Within the framework of the visit the Yeltsin spouses will participate in the annual celebration of the founding of Yerevan, will visit the memorial to the victims of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey.
