CSTO member states committed to help a partner subjected to aggression

PanARMENIAN.Net - The regulations of the Collective Security Treaty Organization read that the CSTO member states are committed to lend a hand to their partner subjected to aggression, CSTO Assistant Secretary General told a news conference in Yerevan.

Valery Semerikov reminded that in October 2007, the CSTO heads of state signed a protocol on military and technical mutual assistance.

"If necessary, we will act accordingly," he said.

The CSTO brings together Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Uzbekistan, which quitted GUAM two years ago, filed in application for joining the CSTO again.
