EU to encourage implementation of reforms in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met Thursday with Mr Hugues Mingarelli, deputy chair of the European Commission directorate for foreign affairs, the RA MFA press office reported.



"Basing on cooperation with European structures and organizations, Armenia will gradually approach the European family. The RA authorities are resolute in implementation of reform and democratization of the republic," Minister Nalbandian said.



The officials also referred to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and prospects of regional cooperation.



"The EU will continue to encourage implementation of reforms in Armenia," Mr Mingarelli said.

Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
