U.S. mediating missions in South Caucasus can provoke escalation of conflicts

PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. mediating missions in South Caucasus can provoke escalation of conflicts in Nagorno Karabakh, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, said Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan, chairman of Mitq analytical center.

"Matthew Bryza's contradicting statements arouse tensions in the conflict zones. American diplomacy neglects historical realities," he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter when commenting on Bryza's recent statement that Nagorno Karabakh residents will themselves decide whether their republic will return under Azeri control or will be independent.
