Protest actions against Gul arrival going on in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Protest actions against Turkish President Abdullah Gul's arrival are going on in Yerevan. The Turkish President was met in the airport by hundreds of people calling on Turkey to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide.



Besides, ARF Dashnaktsutyun organized a march down Baghramyan avenue toward the Opera House. The demonstrators sang patriotic songs and carried placards.



Gul is in Yerevan to attend a World Cup qualifying soccer match between the Armenian and Turkish national teams. This is the first-ever visit of a Turkish President to independent Armenia.
