Arman Melikyan: We woke a sleeping monster named Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian people should have taken a firmer position on issues of national interest, instead of acting from the position of victim, NKR ex-Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. According to the politician, Armenia and Diaspora are required to be unanimous on this issue. "But I am afraid that such attempts may fail. I have fears that we are not even unanimous on genocide recognition issues," he stressed.



In the meantime, Arman Melikyan expressed concern over the Armenian and Turkish Foreign Ministries' joint statement. Starting the "football diplomacy", President Sargsyan did not even doubt what it might lead to. "We woke a sleeping monster named Turkey. I'm seriously concerned about it," Arman Melikyan said.
