Heritage calls for political prisoners' release

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage party estimates the arrest of Editor-in-Chief of "Haykakan Zhamanak" as authorities' revenge, something that contradicts the humanistic essence of amnesty.



Heritage is also concerned over possibility of MP Khachatur Sukiassyan's being arrested in case he comes out of hiding .



To be able to effectively resist the challenges faced by Armenia and NKR, Heritage demands that authorities implement the following steps: to meet journalists' call for releasing political detainees (including Editor-in-Chief of Haykakan Zhamanak Arman Zhamanak) and refuse to arrest MP Khachatur Sukiasyan, the party says in a release.
