Putin, Medvedev elaborating ''Russia Project''?September 16, 2009 - 12:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The increasing interdependence between Russia and Central-Western Europe added to the consolidation of the Russian Influence area, is seen by the United States like a potential threat. Limes Italian newspaper reports.The most worrying element for the U.S. is the increasing Russian influence in the "old continent" because of its role as major gas supplier to the European countries. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and President Dmitry Medvedev are elaborating a plan called "Russia Project" aiming to reintegrate some territories (Transnistria, Southeastern Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan) in the Russian Federation and the creation of a Russian Union. The Russian Union is supposed to include Belarus, Central Ukraine, Armenia with Nagorno Karabakh, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan and implies a military alliance with Uzbekistan. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
