UNO Secretary General supports normalization of relations with Ankara

PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the frameworks of working visit to New York, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met UNO Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The parties discussed issues on UNO agenda, 2010 UNO member states' summit, as well as collaboration between RA Government and UNO Yerevan Office.



RA FM briefed UNO Secretary General on RA-Turkish rapprochement process. Ban Ki-moon supported steps undertaken by official Yerevan towards establishment of relations with Ankara. The parties also touched upon NKR conflict settlement issues.



RA FM signed an optional International Convention protocol on economic, social and cultural rights, as well as UNO Convention on full or partial sea shipping, RA MFA reported.
