Germany will continue rendering active assistance to Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 23, German Ambassador to Armenia Hans Johan Schmidt presented his credentials to RA President Serzh Sargsyan.



Congratulating Hans Johan Schmidt on his appointment, RA President expressed a hope that the Ambassador will continue the tradition of contributing to RA-Germany collaboration, started by his predecessors.



RA President emphasized the importance of bilateral collaboration, noting that Germany is one of the most important trade and economic partners of Armenia.



RA President gave high assessment to RA-Germany political dialogue as well as financial and technical programs implemented.



In his turn, German Ambassador expressed his readiness to further contribute to RA-Germany relations development.

The parties exchanged views on development of bilateral relations and regional issues. The Ambassador noted that Germany supports RA-Turkey rapprochement initiative, characterizing it as an important contribution to regional stability strengthening, presidential press service reported.
