307 corruption cases filed in Armenia over the past 9 monthsDecember 9, 2009 - 14:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - 307 corruption cases were filed in Armenia over the past 9 months of 2009, RA Prosecutor General said"69 and 390 cases were initiated in 2007 and 2008 respectively," Aghvan Hovsepyan said during the 6th conference dated to the International Anti-Corruption Day. "As result of reforms carried out, the country now has special investigative services tasked to expose the fact of corruption, including investigation of crimes committed by high-ranking officials," he said. Mr. Hovsepyan also stressed the importance of taking preventive measures. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
