ARMENIAN FILM IN TOP FIVE AT SAN-PAULU FESTIVAL

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Herostrat" film of Ruben Kochar film director made at "Armenfilm" cinema studio was in top five at the international film festival in Brazilian city of San-Paulu. "Azg" newspaper reports the festival being held in the course of 25 years is one of the most authoritative in Latin America. "Herostrat" Armenian-American film participated in it on the invitation of the organizers. It is the first Armenian-American film. Pictures from tens of countries were demonstrated at the festival. 17 full-length, documentary and short films were selected after the first round. The top five was selected from them at the second stage - an Armenian, a Brazilian, a German, a Canadian and a Yugoslav one. The American side had financed the two-hour "Herostrat." The creative crew and the actors are Armenians. They are Hovik Babakhanian, Vladimir Msrian, Shake Tukhmanian, Zhan Nshanian and others.
