ARF: the question of return of territories cannot be determined by one person

PanARMENIAN.Net - "The issue of return of territories in the NKR security zone cannot be solved by one person, whoever he is," Artush Shakhbazyan , MP from ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group told a news conference in Yerevan.

According to him, this issue, even if it is a millimeter of land, must be solved through the national referendum. "I do not understand why we, the winning side, are always talking about concessions, meanwhile Azerbaijan demands everything and immediately. The statement of the Armenian President is against the Constitution of NKR, " Artush Shahbazyan stressed. 



"Invitation of the Armenian President to Washington says that Barack Obama will not use the term Genocide this year, " Mr. Shahbazyan said. 



MP from the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Sukias Avetisyan said, in the negotiation process the status of NKR needs to be determined first of all based on the right of nations to self-determination, all other matters, including the possible return of the territories are matters of the far future . 



Commenting on the statement of the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about establishment of a historical subcommittee, the deputy said that the subcommittee will not discuss anything except the question of elimination of the Armenian Genocide consequences. "Armenian Genocide is an accepted fact and Armenia has nothing to prove," Mr. Avetisyan stressed.
