GOVERNMENT TO ALLOT $120 MLN TO RECONSTRUCT ARMENIA'S BOUNDARY REGIONSNovember 20, 2001 - 23:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the discussion of complex program for reconstruction of the boundary regions of Armenia, destroyed as a result of military opposition against Azerbaijan has begun at the National Assembly today. The program is planned for 2002-2008. Minister of territorial management Hovik Abramyan who introduced the corresponding bill to the parliamentarians has reported that the government intends to allot 58 billion drams (about $120 mln) for the reconstruction. It is stipulated in the program to grant land and property tax remissions to the residents of the boundary regions. It is also planned to give military service postponement to young men living near the boundary.
