Bakur Karapetyan: Shushi should live a new lifeMay 7, 2010 - 15:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The liberation of Shushi was not just enough, as this town should be reconstructed and inhabited, according to Bakur Karapetyan, the head of Shuhsi Foundation. “Shushi should live a new life. Reconstruction of Adamyan street will mark the start of the Foundation’s new project. There are no cafes in Shushi and the tourists have no possibility to have a meal,” he told journalists on May 7. “The legend of Shushi can be useful for the Armenianhood and make the town attractive for tourists.” Mr. Karapetyan also said that people avoid making investments in Shushi reconstruction, mostly because of Azerbaijan’s continuous threats to launch hostilities.
