AZERBAIJANI AND ARMENIAN PUBLIC FIGURES WORK ON "ALTERNATIVE" VARIANT FOR KARABAKH PROBLEM SETTLEMENTOctober 19, 2001 - 22:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The head of "Peace and democracy institute" Azerbaijani social organization Leila Yunusova has stated that she and several Armenian public figures develop a plan for Karabakh problem settlement. This initiative is shown in answer to so-called "Charter of four" stipulating the military way of the problem solution. According to Yunusova, it is impossible to settle the conflict with the help of "charter", as this document " is contrary to Armenian parliament statement" and this is "an evidence of the lack of common ground". The document, which is worked on by Yunusova, in her opinion, will consider the Armenian interests too. As an Armenian part, an organization, called "Legal and political researches of agreements" participates in the project work. Leila Yunusova has stated that this document will be introduced to Azerbaijani and Armenian people in order to be discussed and then it will be introduced to international community.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
