Azerbaijan tries to make Karabakh subject of discussions at all possible instances

PanARMENIAN.Net - Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, the parliamentary component of the proposed Eastern Partnership, doesn’t convene, as the European Union labels the Belarusian parliament as illegitimate.

“The Euronest will be composed of 120 parliamentarians, 60 of which will be representatives of the European Union, the other 60 will represent the participant countries,” head of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group Vahan Hovhannisyan told a news conference on June 16.

He also noted that Euronest’s energy panel will be dominated by Azerbaijan, what is a challenge for Armenia.

“Another challenge is that Azerbaijan is trying to make Nagorno Karabakh a subject of discussions at all possible instances. The more a structure is experienced in the issue [in this case the OSCE Minsk Group], the more unfavorable it becomes for Azerbaijan,” he said.

He also informed that Armenia suggested that the issues any participant country considers to be vital should be put up for discussion only if there is a consensus.
