ARMENIAN ATOMIC POWER STATION WILL BE PASSED TO "ROSATOMENERGO" RUSSIAN COMPANY MANAGEMENTOctober 2, 2001 - 23:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian atomic power station will be passed to "Rosatomenergo" Russian company management. Press Secretary of the station Vachagan Ghazarian reported it to "Arminfo" agency correspondent. In his words, the Russian company will fulfil only administrative functions at the plant. Minister of Energy Karen Galustian stated that according to the Law on entergetics, the matter may only concern joint management of the station. Deputy Minister of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation Bulat Nimatulin stated earlier about Russia's interest in purchase of control packet of shares of the nuclear power plant. Galustian noted the proposal of the Russian side was taken into account by the Armenian party. The Minister reported Armenia had not received any concrete suggestions up to now![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
