  Samvel Balasanyan elected as Armenian parliament vice speaker  October 7, 2010 - 15:16 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - Prosperous Armenia party member Samvel Balasanyan was elected as Armenian National Assembly vice speaker. The nomination was supported by 74 out of 83 parliament members. 6 voted ‘against’. 3 votes were declared invalid. Orinats Yerkir and Heritage party boycotted the voting. “I am thankful to all who voted for me. I will perform my duties properly,” Balasanyan said. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
