Oppositional ANC rally opened by former Yerevan Mayor Vahagn Khachatryan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The rally of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) was opened by former Yerevan Mayor, ANC representative Vahagn Khachatryan.

“Yerevan Mayor’s Office seems afraid of its citizen. In my capacity as a Mayor I never declined any application for a rally,” Khachatryan said.

“Armenian authorities are only robbing people. The number of beggars has increased by a million since 2008, with no promise the authorities gave being fulfilled.

Inflation rate rose by 8% instead of 5,5% forecasted by Prime Minister Tigran Sargyan. Under current circumstances people are leaving Armenia.”

As Khachatryan noted, 70 000 left Armenia as of September 1, 2010. However, he failed to indicate the period for which the information was provided, PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the site.
