If RA President offers NKR recognition, political majority will do it happilyOctober 26, 2010 - 21:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Speaker of the Armenian parliament Hovik Abrahamyan said that if Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan offers the Armenian parliament to recognize independence of NKR after his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Astrakhan, the parliament will do it happily. Answering a question on possible impact of the two Presidents’ meeting on Heritage party’s bill on NKR recognition, Abrahamyan said that if the Armenian President makes a decision on NKR recognition, the political majority can immediately offer and adopt such a bill. “One should not think that the Republican Party of Armenia does not want to recognize independence of Artsakh, we just do not want to hamper the negotiation process,” concluded Abrahamyan.
