Sergey Minasyan: international community not impressed by Azerbaijan’s blackmail

PanARMENIAN.Net - The main goal of the presidential meeting in Astrakhan was to pave the way for the forthcoming OSCE summit in Astana, an Armenian expert said.

“It’s important for Russia to be equal to the occasion. However, I doubt that any significant document will be signed in Astana,” Sergey Minasyan told journalists in Yerevan.

As to the reduced number of ceasefire violations at the line of contact between the Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces, he said that after a series of unsuccessful attempts, Baku came to understand that such provocative acts can cause more casualties, without bringing any political dividends.

“Besides, it may be conditioned by the international community’s pressure,” Minasyan said, adding that Baku’s blackmail doesn’t work.
