  WASHINGTON INTENDS TO INCREASE MILITARY ASSISTANCE TO AZERBAIJANMay 28, 2003 - 19:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The US intends to increase the military assistance provided for Azerbaijan. Azeri ambassador in the US Hafiz Pashayev stated. In his words, the agreement on this issue was achieved in the course of the Azeri delegation's recent visit to the US. The parties particularly intend to consolidate cooperation in the sphere of general army training as well as in control of water and air frontiers of Azerbaijan. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
