Ruben Safrastyan: Ankara protest not dangerous for Turkish authorities![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - The protest action in Ankara can be linked to the wave of opposition rallies across Middle East but it presents no danger for the Turkish authorities, an Armenian expert said. “This action can’t turn into a mass protest. Turkey pursues pro-Islamic policy and the ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party enjoys the highest rating,” director of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the RA NAS, prof. Ruben Safrastyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. “Besides, Turkey registers significant economic growth. That’s why these protests can’t transform into a serious movement,” he added. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
