EBRD REPRESENTATIVE DECLARES OF THE NECESSITY TO WORK OUT A STRATEGY OF ARMENIA'S BANKING SYSTEM

Director of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Armenia, Yuri Polunev, who is in Yerevan on a working visit, stated today at the meeting with Armenian Premier Andranik Margarian that there is a need to work out a strategy in Armenia for the banking system.

As Mediamax was informed in the press service of the government, Premier Margarian agreed with Y. Polunev and stressed that a developed banking system is the principal condition for financing the real sector of economy and providing an economic growth. The head of the Armenian Government voiced his hope that the cooperation with EBRD in banking and other spheres of economy will promote the economic development of the country. --0--
