CONCRETE DATE OF RUSSIAN PRESIDENT'S VISIT TO ARMENIA NOT SPECIFIED YET

PanARMENIAN.Net - 23.01.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. "The concrete date of the visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Armenia isn't specified yet", said today the press secretary of the President of Armenia Vahe Gabrielian at a press conference in Yerevan.

The press secretary reminded that Vladimir Putin got the invitation to visit Armenia during Robert Kocharian's official visit to Moscow in September 2000.

Vahe Gabrielian refuted statements concerning that fact that Putin's recent visit to Azerbaijan indicated "aggravation" in Armenian-Russian relations. "Just the opposite, we think normal Russian-Azeri relations will favor stabilization of the whole region and eliminate Baku's anxiety concerning Russia's supposedly prejudiced position towards the Karabakh conflict settlement", the press secretary of the Armenian President said.
